Welcome to Year 5

 

 

 

We have an exciting start to a school year.  We go on Residential Camp for 3 days to

Kilve Court

in Somerset.  We stay in cabins and take part in lots of fun activities, for example: grass sledging, team building exercises, orienteering, walking in the Quantocks, rifle shooting.  We even get to sing around a real camp fire

 

 

 

In class we learn about many things, some of the topics are:

• Moving Toys

   

• Invaders & Settlers

   

• Plants

   

• CAD/CAM

   

• Sound

   

• Musical Instruments

We enjoy using the interactive whiteboard during lessons and make good use of the computers and laptops in our class. We work hard and earn ourselves lots of rewards.

 

 

We go swimming every Friday at the Ridings and visit the local library once a month to choose books.  We have enjoyed learning Italian and we are now beginning to learn French.
