Our class motto is "I can", because the children are encouraged to believe they can do anything - all they have to do is try!  Every small step is a great achievement and they are encouraged to develop their independence. The children are encouraged to follow their own interests and at the moment they enjoy making puppets and performing their own shows.

The children have lots of fun learning and puppets and soft toys make maths and learning to read enjoyable. We are also learning Italian with help from our special classroom bear. We use ICT to support our learning and use remote control cars, programmable toys, tape recorders, the interactive whiteboard, computers and laptops.

The children enjoy working in their very own, secure, outside area and it is an extension of the classroom.  The children enjoy using the outdoor area for numeracy and language activities.   The children have their own small sensory garden and spend time planting bulbs and seeds and they enjoy looking for minibeasts in the log pile and under stones.

Our school grounds are lovely and the children enjoy seeing how they change throughout the year. The children also explore the local area by going for walks, visiting the local shops, the library and the church.
