Jacqui welcomed all to the meeting

Correspondence:

The only correspondence was a letter from the governors of St Michaels thanking the PTA for organizing the recent circus which was enjoyed by so many families of the children at St Michaels.

Autumn Disco

Jacqui asked if all was in order.  Sue Branton said all was under control.  They have only 42 children attending out of a possible 58 which seems rather low.  Mrs Hitchman and Miss Baker agreed to remind parents as they drop their children off in the mornings.  Parents of infant children at the meeting were asked to remind parents also.

Film Night

Quick update ? Flyers have gone out too all the junior classes.  Lyn Haddrell is happy to collate a list of those attending and sort out drinks and snacks etc.  She will shout if she needs any help.

Christmas Fayre.

Gina read out a list of stalls planned.  The letters for the auction prizes have now gone out.  It was decided that some of the parents may work in businesses that could donate a prize for auction.  Gina will send a flyer around after half term to ask.  It was also suggested that we approach the therapists that come to us on Ladies Night.  Gina will look into this.

Mel & Gaynor could do with more help and inspiration for the grotto.  Tamara said she was happy to help with this so Sue will introduce them all in the playground.

It was suggested that someone could take and print photos of the children with Santa at the Fayre for £1.  Niamh Hill?s Dad has a talent for this so Mr Vye will speak to him to see if he could help.

Food

We are still undecided on what food to serve.  A Chocolate Fountain was suggested as we could then use it at the ladies night too.  Casey will investigate the cost of purchasing and running one and will report back in time for the meeting on 6th November.  We will make a final decision on the food at this meeting.

Mulled Wine was also requested ? Jacqui said she didn?t mind what was served so if someone felt they wanted to organize this then they could go ahead.

Fish & Chip

After much debate it was decided that a Fish & Chip night did not actually sound that appetizing!!!   There was much discussion around what else would be good but in the end it was decided to try another Curry Night as the food last time was excellent and the band were also good.  Ann will speak to both the band and the chef and report back in time for the next meeting as to whether they are available.  We will concentrate fully on this at the next meeting once the Xmas Fayre is finished.

AOB

Eugene said he will arrange for the Banner and posts advertising the Xmas Fayre to be printed and will speak to the Ridings to see if we can display it on their hedge again.
