Why choose St Michael's?

Parents' first choice
When the time came to choose a school for Jack, we weren?t aware of St Michael's Church of England Primary School, but a friend suggested we look at it. We immediately loved the warm, welcoming atmosphere and sensed the feeling of pride all the pupils showed for their school. It is exactly the kind of school we hoped for and it is a pleasure to see the confidence and independence that our son is gaining by being there. We are now excited that our daughter will be joining him in September . Back to top
Parent who moved
From my first visit to the school I was impressed by the staff?s friendly and welcoming manner. There is certainly a special feel about the school and my family definitely made the right choice in choosing St Michael's Church of England Primary School over other schools. Megan looks forward to every day at St Michael?s and thoroughly enjoys her school life. Back to top
A good move
Last September my grandson moved to St Michael's Church of England Primary School from another school where he had been very unhappy. It was not a decision the family took lightly because as an older child we thought he would have difficulty integrating, as he knew none of the children or staff. Almost at once we saw great improvement in him. He was more relaxed and much happier. After a few weeks we asked if he had made friends and he said, ?All the class are my friends!? His work also improved. We noticed a huge difference at the first Parent?s Consultation. We were also delighted to find that he was having extra help with spelling on a regular basis. We just wished he had always been at St Michael's Church of England Primary School. A smaller school is like a larger family where all the children feel secure and there is more time for individual needs. Back to top
Parent with child at Abacus
As a parent of a preschool child at Abacus I have
thought of a few phases to sum up why I chose
St Michael?s for my child?s primary education;

Continuous care from 2-11
Smiling faces and happy learning
Learning in the heart of the community

Where education is fun! Back to top

In 2005 we were awarded Investors in People status. This has been achieved by the hard work on the part of the whole staff.
